Tanner 2 month update

Slowly catching up.  I have lots of photos from some Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations I'm hoping to share soon.

Weight: 14 lbs (exactly the same as Brody was at 2 months - he is slowing down)

Length: 24.5 inches (though I think he was more like 25 inches, but the nurse was like afraid to stretch his legs)

Head circumference: 40.6 cm

Physical milestones:  Definitely more smiling and some giggling during this month.  He still is great with tummy time but not too much head lifting.  Here and there he will have a big long hold and lift, but mostly he just turns his head side to side.  He is definitely recognizing family members, and I still think Kayla is his favorite person.  He is always smiling when he sees her.  He would also kick me when he was in my belly when Kayla was around me too.  I can see they are going to have a special bond.  Still doesn't quite recognize his hands yet.

Eating/Sleeping:  Tanner is still on the same schedule pretty much during the day, eating at 7, 10, 1, 4, and then usually closer to 6:30 to get to bed a bit earlier.  He seems to be doing very well with an eat, play, sleep routine and still usually falls asleep on his own in the crib for naps and the pack 'n play in our room for bed time.  He likes the pacifier a little more now but still doesn't usually need it very much.  Night time sleep is going pretty well, the long stretch gradually started to increase this month.  He usually sleeps from 7pm to at least 1 am and eventually started stretching closer to 3 am.  He is definitely not as consistent with night time wake times as Brody was (11 pm and 2 am for 11 months straight without any deviation).

Overall, Tanner is still a very cool, calm baby who sleeps and naps quite well and is still a great eater.  He really is just happy.  He does have this pig squealing cry when he is overtired at night so we've learned to try very hard to avoid this as he is quite difficult to calm down.  He is very very wiggly, even the doctor said "He just never stops moving those arms and legs does he?"  Nope, he doesn't.  Always moving, but I still feel like he will be a little behind Kayla and Brody with regards to physical milestones, which is just fine with me.  Incase he is our last baby I am soaking up every second I can.  We all just love him so much, and he is sure is easy to love.  I have especially enjoyed my time alone with Tanner and am struggling with returning to work.  But I know daycare is so excited to have him and will take good care of him.  So hard for me to let go of my babies...

Lighting was a challenge this particular day, plus Tanner is SO wiggly photos were tough.

That smile :)

Every time he smiles, he gets so excited his arms and legs start going to this leads to blurry smiling photos.

I get this face all the time.

Those toes...
