Wordless Wednesday: Impatient

Changing things up a bit...this isn't a photo of Kayla!

Me, not so patiently waiting for my nephew/niece to arrive...

And just because, here's a sneak peek of our professional family/maternity photos we had done a couple weeks ago. :)  (More to come.)

Wordless Wednesday: Winter

We didn't get to play in the snow last year, so Daddy and I planned early and got some awesome deals at R.E.I. last Spring.  We decided to try them out on Kayla this past weekend.

Getting ready for the Chicago winter:

Mostly Wordless Wednesdays: Generations

Kayla is one lucky little girl to grow up knowing so many of her great grandparents.

Just walking with my Gigi and my Great Nanny.

Not-so-wordless Wednesday: RayBans

Sidenote: These baby RayBans from Target were dropped in the meat at Chipotle and I got a very very nasty eye roll from the burrito making lady.  Sorry lady, she's only a toddler.

Also, I was thinking about my little family on my way home from work last night and I came to this conclusion:

Why does it feel a million times more awesome when you hear the person you love and married tell your children "I love you."  Don't get me wrong, my heart still skips a beat when he tells me.  Maybe it's because my husband isn't always the most vocally emotional person.  And maybe it's because this little person is literally a part of you, like your heart walking around outside your body, but when Justin says "I love you" to Kayla (or somehow makes mention of loving her and Baby Hales #2 to me) my heart melts and I love him even more.

Wordless Wednesday: Straws!

The kid loves straws...and big person cups.  These cups = toddler perfection (the straw does not come out.) :)

(Mostly) Wordless Wednesday (Night): Gigi's Special Touch

Kayla has NEVER been a baby I could ever see falling asleep mid playing or anything like that...except the last 2 Tuesdays while Gigi has been baby sitting.

I have gotten these two photos while at work.

Mid-undressing baby doll

One sandal on.
Honestly, when I get these photos, I smile and then I want SO badly to go home and cuddle with my sleepy baby.

Wordless Wednesday: Loves.

We had a very busy vacation (which is a word you can no longer use when you have kids by the way) so I didn't have a chance to blog.  I'm going to try to get some stuff written up today!  Sorry for the radio silence!

Wednesday, May 9, 2012

Not quite wordless today.  I've been having a rough couple of weeks, but I've been making a point to try to be the one who gets up to comfort Kayla at night (Justin is VERY helpful however), and be the one who gets her up in the morning while Justin is in the shower.  I love it because she is so happy to see me.  Even in the middle of the night, I can tell when she's been crying, as soon as I walk in the room she sits up and reaches up towards me to hold her.  Even if I can't see her, I can feel that's she wants me to hug her.  It's keeping me going right now.

Wordless Wednesday: Independence

I love seeing Kayla play by herself.  I often try to sneak peaks at her, because if she notices I'm watching she always stops and comes to play with me.

And as a bonus today, check out this little video I took in the car on our way home from her 15 month check up yesterday.  You'll have to listen closely but she loves vocab lessons in the car.

Mostly Wordless Wednesday: Spaghetti

Discovering your child just can't get enough of spaghetti...priceless.

I'm planning a few pregnancy update posts hopefully starting tomorrow. :)

Mostly Wordless Wednesday: Big Girl Cup

I am really not sleeping well or feeling well today but wordless Wednesdays are like a blogging trend so I thought I'd hop on the bandwagon since it's quick and easy.

Kayla loves Mommy and Daddy's cups...must buy baby cups soon.
